All taxpayers registered in hospitality sector in Belgium are obliged to register for the use of Certified Cash Register System, at their Tax Agency by February 28, 2014. The system will need to be installed at taxpayer’s premises before the end of 2015.
Certified system consists of:
- Cash Register or Point of Sale system certified in accordance with the Rules specified by Service Public Fédéral Finances (SPF Finances).
- Fiscal data module (Black Box), certified in accordance with the Rules specified by Service Public Fédéral Finances (SPF Finances),
- VAT signing card, issued by Service Public Fédéral Finances (SPF Finances).
Taxpayers will receive personalised Vat Signing Card (VSC) upon request (after registration). VSC is prerequisite for activation of Fiscal Data Module, which taxpayer will obtain from authorised vendor. At the time of activation VSC is inserted to FDM.
Certified cash registers are also available for purchase with authorised vendors, or taxpayer will simply upgrade existing system given the fact it has support from vendor who has already obtained certification from SPF Finances for that model of the system.
