Slovenian Financial Administration with introduction of the mandatory use of fiscal cash registers starts new fiscal lottery game to encourage consumers to ask for the fiscal receipts.
Mobile app “Verify Receipt”
For the participation in this game consumer must collect 10 different fiscal receipts issued by different goods or service providers.
This can be done in three ways:
- Through the mobile application “Verify Receipt” consumer can check if his receipt is already archived on Tax Administration server. When this checking is realized with 10 different receipts consumer will automatically be entered in the prize draw.
- Through the portal e–Davki (e-Tax) with similar procedure as in mobile application.
- Consumer must pack 10 different printed receipts from different issuers in envelope and send it by post to address: “Start thinking, ask for the receipt!”
In 2016 the four dates are designated for the prize drawing. The first one shall be in March 2106. Prizes in each round are 15.000, 10.000 and EUR 5.000 Euros. Additional prize worth thousand of Euros will be drawn to those participants who will take part in a lottery via mobile application or via the open portal of e-Tax. The annual prize fund is 124.000 Eur.
The same amount of 124.000 EUR is designated annually for advertising on radio, television and on the Internet.
Tax Authority wishes to improve consumer awareness that taking receipts is well for them and for the country, as this contributes to the reduction of the shadow economy, it leads to an increase in tax collection and contributes to a better social standard.
